Margie’s Kids Kare (MKK) is a safe, nurturing, and enriching space designed to empower youth through choice-based activities in arts, wellness, sports, and STEM. Inspired by the legacy of Margie N. Jefferson, we are committed to providing engaging programs that help every child discover their potential and shine.
Our Commitment
We work closely with schools and families to ensure that every student has the tools and support they need to achieve their full potential. Our focus on performing arts, wellness, and enrichment activities is designed to help every student develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in life. At Margie’s Kids Kare, we are passionate about empowering our students to be the best they can be, and we will stop at nothing to make that happen.

Choice-Based Enrichment
Students participate in a diverse array of activities—including performing arts, visual arts, yoga, martial arts, gardening, and social-emotional learning—that are age-appropriate, culturally responsive, and inclusive for students with disabilities or special learning needs. This approach ensures that all students discover meaningful opportunities for personal growth and enjoyment.

Academic Acceleration
Understanding the significance of bridging achievement gaps, MKK incorporates targeted literacy and math activities that connect to real-life scenarios, such as budgeting and marketing, into the afterschool program. These supports aim to strengthen foundational skills, foster confidence, and extend learning beyond the regular school hours.

Family and Community Partnerships
Families play a central role at MKK. We organize monthly Family Fun Nights, provide parent support workshops, and maintain open lines of communication to nurture trust, collaboration, and alignment between home and school.
